Centenary Celebrations in 2007
The Edinburgh Gaelic Choir celebrated its 100th year in 2007.
The first record of the Choir’s AGM dates back to May 1907, although there is unofficial documentation mentioning concerts held by the choir a few years preceding this.
To mark the occasion we held a series of events throughout the year, which included: a Centenary Dinner Dance at The Royal Overseas League in Edinburgh, a Civic Reception at the City Chambers, a Ceilidh at The Scottish Storytelling Centre (Netherbow), and a Service at Greyfriars Kirk.
We would like to thank everybody who supported the choir at these events, and hope that you enjoyed them as much as we did.
