Centenary Celebrations in 2007
The Edinburgh Gaelic Choir celebrated its 100th year in 2007.
The first record of the Choir’s AGM dates back to May 1907, although there is unofficial documentation mentioning concerts held by the choir a few years preceding this.
To mark the occasion we held a series of events throughout the year.
Schedule of Events
31st March 2007 - Centenary Dinner Dance at The Royal Overseas League, Edinburgh
22nd June 2007 - Civic Reception at the City Chambers in Edinburgh
15th September 2007 - Ceilidh at The Scottish Storytelling Centre, Netherbow, Edinburgh
4th November 2007 - Service at Greyfriars Kirk
We would like to thank everybody who supported the choir at these events, and hope that you enjoyed them as much as we did.
